Tragic Loss

Andreas Oscarsson, the founder of leading online poker information portal PokerListings.com, was found dead in his home in Sweded on August 3, 2009.
There are no particular details other than the 36-year-old WSOP winner, Oscarsson was shot.
Andreas was considered a great source of inspiration and energy and at the same time a tough negotiator and highly respected opponent – a true and really dedicated to the industry professional.
Our condolences go out to Andrea’s family and friends.

PartyPoker Strengthens the Team

Bodo Sbrzesny (29 y.o.) from Bruchsal, Germany, is reported to have joined the Party Poker’s team. Previously going by “Miamivice70” and “LoveToWin79” screen names on PartyPoker.com, he will be playing under “Bodo_Feels_It”.
Bodo, known to have been a semi-professional tennis player and professional video gamer, was noticed in September last year in the PartyPoker.com Poker Den, then, lots of people thought that a new star was born.
Obviously, Bodo transferred his skills from playing “Counter Strike” video game.
Party Poker will soon be revealing the names of other members of the team as well as the team’s concept.

Everyone has a Chance to Win

CarbonPoker has been running a promotion for July and August offering over 25,000 prizes worth in excess of one million dollars. The promotion called the Carbon Million Promotion will run until September 6.
By taking part in cash games at Carbon Poker and accumulating VIP points, players win prizes. There are 21 tiers of individual prize levels, and only a set number of players can win at a given level. Cash awards at the levels range from $2.50 to $20,000.
All the winners will be awarded on September 8.
CarbonPoker.com administration is already reporting the increased number of interested players.
