Not only poker, but also mobile gaming is now available at PokerStars, the largest international online casino gambling site in the world.

Having purchased Cecure mobile gaming software company, PokerStars can already create its own mobile gambling brand in the market. And the company is believed to become a huge success.

The acquisition seems to be mutually positive. Cecure has been looking for the opportunity to sell company’s assets, but global recession has made the process a bit problematic. With the purchase of Cecure, PokerStars got a chance to focus on branding efforts in the online casino mobile industry.

New Gambling TV Contest

To find poker talent, Sky Poker is launching Total Player, a new TV contest. The winner of the contest, decided by public vote, will be bought into Sky Poker Tour event, a professional tournament with a Ј1,000 buy-in and, ultimately, the $10,000 buy-in WSOP main event in Las Vegas. Winner’s mentor will get 10% of his player’s winnings.

Matt Broughton, Ed Giddens and David Tuckman are reported to be the judges for Total Player.

The new contest is supposed bring lots of excitement and opportunity to the playing community, as well as an educational element and a chance to win big.

Total Player is a 13-week series that started on December 12, 2009 on Sky digital channel 865 when the player mentors and the structure of the competition were introduced. The mentors will select 18 players who demonstrate great play in multi-table tournaments, sit and go and cash games. Then the mentors will advise and challenge these players, help develop their playing ability. And as a result, the best player will sit down at the felt in Las Vegas.
